Problem Statement
The management team at Bespoke Home Management needs a centralized platform to simplify property management. Current tools are disconnected, communication is fragmented, and task management is inefficient. This creates delays and unnecessary challenges. A unified system would help prioritize tasks, manage client requests, and streamline communication, making operations more efficient.
Results
We produced a mobile app design for Bespoke Home Management to deliver a seamless, intuitive app focused on task management, real-time updates, and communication.
This app allows for clients to book home services through a simple user flow from anywhere around the world. Communication is made simple through in-app messaging and progress bars.
Process
Research & Analysis: We conducted user interviews with the co-founders and researched competitors to understand the pain points and user needs. We implemented our findings throughout our design, iterating upon a few versions to best provide for user needs.
Information Architecture: Based on the research findings, we structured the app's navigation and content, prioritizing the task creation flow and messaging.
Wireframing & Prototyping: We designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the new layout and navigation. We were each tasked with a specific flow to design, mine was the task creation flow! After we narrowed it down to 2 mid-fi versions and user tested, we built one high-fidelity, interactive prototype to further test the design.
User Testing: We conducted user tests with a various types of users to validate the design and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, we made necessary adjustments to the design.
Visual Design & Style Guide: We developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. We also created an advanced component library and style guide to maintain design consistency for future updates.
Conclusion
Bespoke Home Management now has an intuitive mobile app for property owners to manage their tasks and communicate directly with workers. Through extensive user research, we are confident that our solution meets the needs of the users and will continue to evolve with our advanced component library.
Future Outlook
We hope to refine and retest messaging flow, iterate on high-impact features (e.g., calendar, project filters, progress tracking), and to expand the B2C model. While our final designs are well thought-out and tested, we deeply value user opinions and since this is the first design for the app we anticipate fixing features and flows along the way.
